Inquisitive Chicken
My name is Jeremiah Sweeny, I am a student at Purdue Polytechnic High School. Recently, my family decided to get some chickens for eggs. We all love our chickens, and want to find ways to spend time with them. Recently my sisters even wanted to do a photoshoot with them! This photoshoot yielded some nice photos and some funny ones, but one in particular stood out to me as one that had a potential. This is my chicken, Nutmeg. She has a very curious character, and this image does a great job of emphasizing it. I knew that this needed to become a digital art masterpiece. In the album linked below, you can see the progress that I made with my photo, mostly using GIMP, a free image editing tool. I first simplified the colors and the background, then I decided that it needed a bit of style and made it look like a sticker. Finally, after I felt that wasn't enough, I ran the entire thing through a tool called Deep Dream Generator to create a pattern in the image. I enjoy a lot of art projects like this one, because they really allow me to be creative and pursue my passion of graphic design. So, what do you think? Does Nutmeg look as cool as I think she is?
