XQ Symposium 2017: Bringing School Design Elements to Life
2017 July 13-14 Cambridge, Massachusetts
Teams from the XQ schools gathered to share ideas and practices on how to implement innovative school models that emphasize youth development, the science of adolescent learning, and student-centered teaching and learning. In partnership with MIT’s Strata Center, school leaders worked together to tackle some of the big challenges in high school transformation, such as advancing personalized learning, building student agency, and creating real-world learning experiences. In addition to hands-on professional development projects and community-building, attendees heard from speakers including XQ Co-founder and CEO Russlynn Ali, XQ Board Member Yo-Yo Ma, and Harlem Children’s Zone Founder Geoffrey Canada.
