Mary Ryerse

Mary Ryerse is Managing Director for School Success for XQ. Mary has served in the education space for more than 30 years, advocating for innovation and equity. Prior to XQ, she led Getting Smart’s strategic advisory practice and published numerous blogs, reports, papers and podcasts on Education Week, Huffington Post, Forbes, Getting Smart and XQ; she also co-authored the book Smart Cities that Work for Everyone: 7 Keys to Education and Employment. Following 15 years as a teacher and administrator at the school, district and state level, Mary also served as an EdTech executive and in adjunct professor roles. She lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and three sons.
