Who’s Who and Representing XQ at iNACOL 2019?

Here at XQ, lifelong learning is more than an awesomely alliterative phrase; it’s a way of life that’s defined by an openness to engage with ideas that are exciting, challenging, and forward-thinking.

That’s why we’re so excited about this year’s iNACOL Symposium: Shining a Light on the Future of Education. The event represents an opportunity to plug into what’s new in education innovation while adding our voice to the ongoing conversation that asks what it means to #ReThinkHighSchool in America.

But we’re even more excited to tell you about the iNACOL sessions XQ is hosting.

XQ iNACOL Sessions

What Does a Super School Look Like in Practice?
Establishing a Vision for Quality and Excellence
Wednesday, October 30
2:15 P.M. – 3:15 P.M.

Becoming a Super School doesn’t happen by chance, but what does it take to earn that title?

In this session, XQ’s Mary Ryerse, Managing Director for School Success, and Sean McClung, Senior School Success Officer, teams up with our friends at Springpoint and the principal of XQ school, Grand Rapids Public Museum School, to discuss how the XQ Design Principles—coupled with school observation visits and robust toolkits—provide a roadmap for implementation and iteration.

We’ll also lead a brainstorming period designed to explore how education leaders and teachers can leverage those elements as part of continuous improvement efforts in their own school communities.

Big Thinking through Systems Building
Wednesday, October 30
4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Innovative systems might be complex but successfully implementing them doesn’t have to be complicated. Join us for a dynamic conversation led by May Mark, XQ Director of School Success, Jeremy Berman, CEO of Dream See Do, XQ school Da Vinci RISE High’s Learning Management System, and school leaders from two XQ schools—Purdue Polytechnic High School and Washington Leadership Academy

We’ll discuss how to get strategic when it comes to navigating and developing systems that prioritize student learning in complex and innovative school contexts.

Who Else Will Be There?

In addition to our XQ-led sessions, educators and school leaders from XQ schools and partners will lead a variety of in-depth discussions and workshops. Check them out below and come through!
