My Billboard is about LGBTQ+ people being war survivors. For decades, maybe even centuries, members of the LBGTQ+ have been fighting for their rights and equality. After President Biden signed executive order protecting LGBT people from discrimination, the war mostly came to a close. Since then, members of the LGBTQ+ community have been a lot less afraid of expressing themselves in public. In my education experience, I have faced mean and rude comments about my gender identity and my name change, though through teachers support I have learned to ignore all the hate and be proud of who I am. Thanks to teachers, the younger groups of the LGBTQ+ community have been able to get the support they need to continue to push for total equality.
